Peter Derow, former CEO and President of Institutional Investor, Inc.
Mr. Derow has spent thirty-five years in the publishing industry and has held many senior executive positions in media companies. From 1988 to 1997, he served as President and CEO of Institutional Investor, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Capital Cities/ABC, Inc. until 1995 and then of the Walt Disney Company. Earlier, he served as Chairman and President of Newsweek, Inc., Director of The Washington Post Company, President of the CBS Publishing Group and Senior Vice President and Director of CBS, Inc. While at CBS, he was one of the founders of Prodigy. Mr. Derow is currently a director of a number of public and private companies: CACI International, Inc. (NYSE); GlobalSpec, Inc.; Netscan, Inc.; 101 Communications, LLC; Publishers Clearing House; The Motley Fool and Women’s Marketing, Inc. (Halyard portfolio company). Mr. Derow holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Harvard College and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
